Rhomas returned with two horses and held Neala while Angus mounted. It was then she looked at him, her eyes saying all she could not. She mouthed the words, I’m sorry. Lucan knew she blamed herself. She should never have left the cottage without him. He shook his head, but she did not see as Angus dragged her onto the animal’s back and instructed Rhomas to come with him.
